Your Templates are now in Echobox Studio
Your post designs have moved into Echobox Studio. Everything your Pages were publishing carries on as before, and you can now open, edit and create designs yourself.
What has changed
Your designs used to be held as a set of separate settings, one screen for each type of post, and any change to a design was made for you by Echobox.
These are now templates, held in one place and editable by you.
In Settings, the separate screens for image, story, carousel, video, text and link sharing have been replaced by a single Templates screen. It shows every post type the Page can publish, grouped under Post, Story and Reel, with the template selected for each.
What has not changed
Each Page kept the design it was already using, for every type of post it publishes. That includes:
- Your logo, typeface and colours
- Where the message, headline, description and image are taken from
- Your link placement, and any link prefixes
- Your call to action
Where a Page had its own particular setup, that setup was migrated as its own template. Pages set up identically share one template between them, so a change you make once applies to all of them.
New features
- Edit your own designs. Open a template in Studio, change the colours, typeface, logo or layout, and save. No request, no wait.
- See it before you publish. The editor previews your template with real article content as you work.
- Create new templates. Duplicate any Echobox style or one of your own templates and adapt it.
- Reuse across Pages. One template can serve as many Pages as you like, and editing it updates all of them.
- Style a single post. In the Compose Box you can apply a different style to one share without changing anything on the Page.
Where do I find everything?
Your templates are in Studio, in the main navigation header.
To see or change which template a Page uses, go to Settings, choose the Page, then open Templates.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your Pages are already set up and publishing as they were.
When you do have a moment, it is worth opening Studio and looking through your templates, so you know what is there and how they are named before you next want to change something.
A note on names
Templates were named after the Page they came from, so you may see several with similar names if you run a lot of Pages.
You can rename any of your templates from the editor. A name that describes the design, such as "Sport, vertical", is easier to pick from a dropdown later than one that describes where it came from. Renaming has no effect on which Pages use it.
